Hi, my name is Carolyn. I’m married to a handsome and funny man named Benjamin. We both work as ER nurses and live in paradise.

This blog is not a fix yourself step-by-step process – it’s reflections on what I am learning as I walk through life with God.

I am what one might call a “verbal processor” – or as one of my high school teachers put it: “Carolyn figures out what she’s trying to say as she’s saying it”. And so, I apologize in advance for my ramblings. What I have to say is not ground-breaking or even new. The goal is to just be real and honest – and hopefully encourage others along the way. Recently I am learning just how much of life is out of my control. For over 3 years I have been going through a time of infertility. How easy it would be to just lay down and let my feelings and circumstances dictate my life. To become apathetic or bitter. However, I truly want to learn how to thrive in the here and now. No matter what life brings. I don’t want to just be looking towards an imaginary “made it” sign post in my life. I want to flourish in the process.
